Greek Turkey Meatballs
MEATBALLS
1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoon unseasoned dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoon chopped black olives
2 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon pepper
SAUCE
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
Combine all meatball ingredients in medium mixing
bowl. Mix well. Shape into 36 meatballs, about 1-1/4
inches each. Place in a 10 inch square, microwave safe
casserole. Set aside. Blend all sauce ingredients in a 2
cup measure. Pour over meatballs. Cover with wax paper.
Microwave at 70% power (medium high) from 8-13
minutes, or until meatballs are firm and cooked through,
stirring gently after every 4 minutes. Makes 3 dozen
appetizers.
